Eco Fair at The Spike

prosecofairsmall.jpg

Sunday 23rd November sees the Spike hosting the second Peoples Republic of Southwark mini eco fair including:

- a bring & take event: if you have any small, easy to carry household items (clothes, toys, books, dvds, similar) that you do not need any more, bring them along and give them to someone else, or pick up anything you might need. Please do not bring any electrical or bulky items.
- Hear about and taste the invisible food (wild food project)
- Learn first hand how a sustainable community can operate in an inner city area
- Prepare your allotments, gardens or pots for spring with the seed swap: if you have any surplus seeds bring them along and exchange them for different ones
- Take part in an art project
- Listen to some live music

Or simply come along and have a look at what we’re doing.

London on film

Sometimes it’s good to be reminded that for South London to exist, there must be something North of it. This video has been edited together from over 3,000 photographs and makes me want to ride a nitro-powered doubledecker bus around all night long.

Risen from the grave

The Bride

It’s that time of year again, come one, come ghoul, shake your bones and rattle a pumpkin. Here’s a tune to get you in the mood for Halloween:

Mr Fab and His Bag O’ Heads - Skeleton Crew On The Graveyard Shift

Plenty happening,  first up tomorrow World Zombie Day hits the streets of central London.

All Hallow’s Eve falls on a Friday in perfect party fashion. We can recommend Urban75’s Offline Party in Brixton for FREE. Elsewhere I’m DJing at a huge party alongside many other vinyl junkies and live acts, but have been politely asked not to reveal the location. However anyone who’s anyone in Pecknam will know where I’m talking about :-)

True zombies will see it through til Saturday and join us on the Crawl of the Dead V up in town.

Brainnnnsssss…
